Quarterback and Receiver Camp
The Bobby Bentley Quarterback-Receiver Camp will be held at Presbyterian College on June 26th through the 28th for athletes in grades 7 to 12. The camp is designed to teach you how to be a better quarterback and receiver. If you attend the camp we will assure you that you will gain skills to make you a better player.
INSTRUCTION
This camp is designed for various skill levels from the beginner to the advanced. The groups will be divided by age and skill level so that proper instruction can be directed. All drills and skill sessions are run by committed and experienced football coaches and staff. It is our desire for this camp to be a safe, competitive learning environment that will be beneficial to all who attend.
Every camper will participate in daily speed development , warm ups, practices, drills and technique sessions. All campers will be analyzed by video. Dress for the camp will be t-shirts, shorts and cleats. DO NOT bring helmet or shoulder pads
Instruction for Quarterbacks will focus on:
- Proper warm-up procedures
- Stance and posture
- Footwork for proper 3 and 5 step drops
- Proper throwing mechanics
- Leadership skills
- Sessions in reading defenses
- All campers will be analyzed on video
Instruction for receivers will focus on:
- Proper stance
- Proper releases
- Ability to run the curl, stop, out, post and corner routes
- Recognition of different coverages
- Catching techniques
- Speed development
