Quarterbacks
| Stance |
- Feet aligned under the arm pits, non throwing foot slightly behind throwing foot (toe to instep)
- Arms extended from the center with throwing hand on top with thumbs together
- Chest up with eyes on the defense

| Drops – Baseball turn, little 3, little 5, sprint out, Big 3 with gather, Big 5 |
- 3 step drop should push to 4 yds deep
- 5 step drop should push to 7 yds deep
- Do not allow buckets steps!
- Keep front shoulder open with chin on the shoulder alignment

| Ball Position |
- Should be carried on the throwing side of the chest slightly below the ear
- During the drop – ball should move “tit to tit”
|
| Throwing Mechanics |
- Stress a pull back with the throwing arm and front arm pressure
- Chest should be stretched like a rubber band with elbows moving out
- Front arm should then drive away from the ball
- Front knee should be in a flexed position
- After release, the ball should flex down with thumb pointed at thigh
- No “recoil” at bottom of motion

Wide Receivers
| Stance |
- Inside leg up
- Distance from back of front heel to toe of back foot is at least shoulder width
- Toes should be pointed straight ahead - front foot slightly turned in for comfort
- Knees should be flexed so that on take-off there is no more bend needed
- 80-20 weight distribution on front foot
- Arms should be in “combative” position: bend arms at the elbows and hold hands at chest height-hands should be closed but not clinched

| Running |
- Pump arms forward and back, close to body – avoid side-to-side swinging
- Forward body lean
- Eyes up at defender (do not look at break point on ground)
|
| Break |
- Drive in and out of cuts
- At break point, “snap” chest down – head over chest, over knees, over toes
- Pump arms throughout cut, do not let them go dead
- Keep arms close to body, do not flail out
